The Men Obsessed With ‘High T’

Fueled by the manosphere, men are boosting their testosterone levels through natural and synthetic means, with some competitively swapping test results on a regular basis.

WIRED
It seems like there's a whole vast subculture of men who are devoted to making themselves attractive to the opposite sex...but in a way that is, in actual fact, mostly aimed at other men. Does that makes sense? Like the question of whether women actually want or like this stuff is almost irrelevant.
It's basically: make yourself attractive to women in a way that wins the approval of other men. If you just wanted to appeal to women *directly* & you didn't care about other men, you'd probably just, I dunno, develop a sense of humor or interest in other people or something. Learn how to cook.
@volts.wtf all men know what they have to do to meet women but very few are willing: learn to dance
@volts.wtf I don’t know any woman who finds these guys attractive. Most of us are actively put off by them
@volts.wtf I agree with you 100% but I also look at botox filled lips that look like really sore hemorrhoids and ask 'why?'
@volts.wtf it’s the business card scene in American Psycho.
@volts.wtf I don't know enough about testosterone for health reasons, but as for the rest of it - speaking as a woman - meh. And speaking for myself, I actively dislike the unnatural overly muscled look. Methinks these men are looking at romance novel covers and thinking that's what women want.
@nomdeb @volts.wtf my fave reddit discussions are when women say ‘i love flabby men with good personalities’ and all the T guys get so angry at how they are wrong
