Everyone on Mastodon was super helpful when I was planning a trip to California (thank you!!) and now I have a new call for help.

I'm looking for a really good place in #PlymouthCounty (or nearby) #Massachusetts that serves up an amazing Easter Brunch. I've contacted my usual suspect spots and they're all booked and/or not doing Easter brunch this year.

Anyone have a great spot to recommend? I'll cook if I have to but I really don't want to ;-)

@shartlen A little bit outside of Plymouth County but Strawberry Fair on Pond Street in Norwell is phenomenal and you can make reservations right online. They really are great for their brunch menu. TheStrawberryFair.com. is their website.

@shartlen

There's a few places, but I mostly know places closer to Boston. Irish places mainly. What style of dinner?

I'm thinking our Easter will be at home this year.

@doctormo I’d be open to places near Boston - I grew up there - but not sure others in my party are willing to travel that far. Food style options are unlimited, though, so I might convince them to go somewhere closer to town.

@shartlen

Suburbanites?

I can recommend McGonagle's, it's right next to one of those massive car pipes from the south suburbs 😉 [i93]; plenty of parking and they do a decent regular Sunday Roast dinner, so I imagine anything special they have for Easter would be good too.

Plenty of space. But do book in advanced as it's new but gaining popularity. https://www.mcgonagles.com/

Good luck on your quest!

IDK if the Charred Oak Tavern in Middleboro does Brunch or Easter, but i was impressed.
(My other favorites in Plymouth Co are gone, alas, or are very much not Brunch)
@n1vux Charred Oak is fabulous; we were there this week for a St. Patrick’s day whiskey event. Sadly they are booked for Easter brunch :-(

@shartlen
I recall Star Drive-In had someone in an Easter Bunny suit last year. Ambience isn't quite "Brunch" but no reservations; might have quite a wait on a holiday. (Only a few stools inside and a few picnic tables outside, plus your car or tailgate. I'm guessing we were there the Saturday between GF & E.)

(My other go-to in Plym.Co. is Woods Lobster on Town Pier, Plymouth, the very antithesis of Brunch. But authentic New England.)

@shartlen https://danlwebsterinn.com/ if you get a reservation - pretty close to Plymouth and possibly the best restaurant I've ever encountered

@mason Oh thanks! Hadn’t thought of them. I’ll check it out :-)
