@Techmeme Ugh. Ruff, uv, and ty are all now owned by OpenAI. Just what everyone was concerned about when Ruff showed up and started to replace existing tools.

@kevin @Techmeme OMG! I’m pretty sure this is horrible and frightening news; though (counter example) GitHub is still doing okay. I’m a superfan of #uv and #ty. Please don’t make me switch!

@YesJustWolf @Techmeme Opinions differ strongly about GitHub... two months of daily service outages, injection of CoPilot into every possible workflow or interaction, etc.
