Just for the cringe, I checked the gas price yesterday at the place I usually buy at. The cost of regular is up 75 cents per gallon, from 2.749 to 3.499 (27%).

My home heating oil has gone up even more. I did a prepaid purchase last fall at 3.27/gal. It’s now 5.37, a 64% increase. I still have about a 100 gals of the prepay, but since it’s been colder than expected this fall/winter, I’ll need to do another top off to get me thru to next fall.

My wallet says ouch

@DeltaWye I pulled a lot if my 401k into annuities. Still have a fair amount in stock and mutual funds tho. Currently doing ok, but I’m sure that won’t last
