Denmark was planning to mount a military defence of Greenland, with the Nordic countries, France, and Germany set to deploy elite troops and assets.

They sent blood to treat wounded soldiers, and explosives to destroy runways and prevent a Hostomel-style landing of US troops.

We came close to a military confrontation with the United States. Terrifying.

@wolf480pl my assumption is this was prior to trump backing down, and this likely caused trump to back down, and forced the republicans to tell him it was a red line
