I checked out Horizon Worlds two years ago and wrote about my experiences, comparing it to Rec Room and VRChat. Horizon World is about to be pulled from VR platforms, so that's a fun time capsule now!

My opinions have changed a bit over time, but now we know that even with the near-unlimited time and resources of a big tech company, Meta could not come close to what the furries have cooked up in VRChat.

@corbin I remember reading this article and appreciated the look at other platforms. Perhaps unsurprisingly given my name and photo, I had started from VRChat and explored over to Resonite (then Neos), but haven't looked elsewhere.

…hey, wait a minute, did you update the article as part of your opinions changing? The RazCanine didn't publicly exist in 2024. 

@digitalfox I did swap a few of the images that were showing lower-quality fallback avatars, yeah, but the text hasn't changed
