@elricofmelnibone @BeLibre Doesn't really matter as this app is not meant for personal/private use but for inter governmental communications. The underlying tech is the open standard matrix and the open source apps element and synapse.

@Karelt @elricofmelnibone it kind of does matter to me. If they want to expand at some point, this is a great basis. And that they build on open source is testimony on how robust it is too.

@Karelt The snarky point which you seem to have missed was that the EU ChatControl proposals included exemptions for politicians, because of course politicians would never distribute illegal images or anything nefarious. Only regular folks do that. Of course.
