@frogglin In several of the Kerry Greenwood Phryne Fisher novels, Phryne's lady companion, Dot, has a motoring bonnet, to wear in the Hispano Suiza, I think.
I'm sure you're more of a Phryne than a Dot, but the bonnet would still be very suitable....
