Me, winking: Let's make this coffee a little more Irish, shall we?

[adds cabbage]
@maxleibman
I thought you'd add some potato.
@hiisikoloart

That'd be Poitín; made from potatoes, well amongst other ingredients.

Think Paint Stripper unless done very, very well. Then closer to embalming fluid.

@maxleibman
@AnguaDelphine @hiisikoloart @maxleibman I wouldn't be surprised if it were used for both. Raki can be used as a cleaning agent in this part of the world.
@AnguaDelphine @maxleibman
I'm from Finland with a family that comes from Karelia (Russian side), so I am very familiar with the paint-stripper strenght liquors. (Vodka, väkiviina etc.) One of the reasons why I don't drink myself. :P
@maxleibman Then the English come in and take your coffee and leave you to starve.

@maxleibman

Sounds German to me. I'd go with potato too.

@uc Well, it’s St. Patrick’s Day, so I was thinking “corned beef and cabbage.” But who puts corned beef in their coffee?!
Amazing Slow Cooker Coffee Braised Corned Beef

Corned beef is the traditional dinner served on St. Patrick's Day.  That being said, most of us only eat corned beef once, maybe twice a year so why not make it stellar?  This slow cooker coffee braised corned beef is a twist on the classic.

Foodista
@maxleibman @uc I wonder if Irish soda bread pairs well with coffee… 🤔
@jackf723 Iwwww! I like coffee, and I like cabbage, but not together. Yuck! No thank you! <lol>
@maxleibman No, that's Soviet coffee. You need potatoes for Irish coffee.
