1 of 2: Before the Needle, There Was the Hand. ✋✨

Most people think of #Acupuncture as the pinnacle of healing, but touch is the oldest medicine.

Long before tools, we instinctively rubbed our sore spots. This act—Acupressure—is the "Ancient Mother" of all we do today.

In my practice, I use modern tools like Biboting Cupping (negative pressure for fascia release) and Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation or TENS, but my hands remain the "Mapping Tools."

Whether I'm using the rhythmic rocking of Kembiki or leaning my body weight into a meridian, I’m tapping into a 3,000-year-old conversation.

Healing isn't just "fixing" a muscle; it’s listening to the body’s fluid rhythm. 🏮🛡️

2 of 2: Why I love Kembiki (けんびき): From "Stiff Statue" to "Happy Noodle." 🐒

🌀In Shiatsu, we use Kembiki—a gentle, rhythmic rocking. I call it a "Full Body Jiggle." It tells your brain it’s okay to stop being a "Stiff Statue" and start being a "Happy Noodle." 🍜

This movement:
✅ Encourages joints and muscles to release.
✅ Settles the "Fight or Flight" response.
✅ Creates flow through the whole body.

By combining the "Mother Hand" connection with negative pressure cupping to lift and clear the fascia, I’m not just pushing on muscles; I’m inviting your energy to move like a river. When we give the body the right rhythm, healing occurs naturally ☀️🐈‍⬛🐎🏗️🌸⚖️

In Shiatsu, we never leave you "drifting." This is the secret of the "Mother Hand" (Bo-shi). ✋🏮

When I perform Kembiki (that rhythmic rocking), I always use 2 hands with 2 distinct roles:

1️⃣ The Mother Hand (Bo-shi): This hand stays still. It rests firmly on your sacrum, shoulder, or hara (centre of gravity).
It doesn't "work"; it just "Is." It says to your nervous system: "I am here. You are safe. I am holding the space."

2️⃣ The Child Hand (Ji-shi): This is the active hand that creates the rhythmic rocking or leans into the meridians.

Without the Mother Hand, the rocking of Kembiki might feel "unsteady" or chaotic. But with that constant, still connection, your brain feels safe enough to let go.

It’s the foundational grounding applied to touch: 1 hand for Stillness, 1 hand for Movement, resulting in Total Liberation from pain and stress. 🛡️✨

Why "Stillness" Heals: Why does the Mother Hand matter for your "Garden"? 🌿🌀

Think of the Mother Hand as the stake that supports a young plant.

While the Child Hand removes the "weeds" of stress and old pain using TENS or Negative Pressure Cupping, the Mother Hand provides the "Self-Respect" frequency.

Most of us spend our days feeling "un-held" or rushed. In a session, the Mother Hand:
✅ Creates a closed circuit of energy (Ki).
✅ Provides a "Reference Point" for your body to find its center.
✅ Allows the Kembiki jiggle to feel like a lullaby instead of a shake.

When you feel "Heavy Shoulders" or "Stiff Statue" syndrome, you're often lacking that "Still Anchor."

By using this 2-handed connection, we remind the body that it is supported while it does the hard work of letting go.

Healing is a conversation between Stillness and Flow. ☀️🐈‍⬛🐎🏗️🌸⚖️
