Ugh, I missed a trigger in one of my commander games tonight while playing Velociramptor (Pantlaza).

Turn 5 I cast Zetalpa, Primal Dawn & discovered into Last March of the Ents. Plopped a ton of dudes on the battlefield. Including Wrathful Raptors.

I was gonna win on turn 6 by using Shaman of Forgotten Ways to set everyone's life total to the number of creatures they had, then use Akroma's Will to take out my opponents. But the guy two seats ahead of me cast Blasphemous Act.

Which would have killed all of my opponents if I hadn't missed Wrathful Raptor's trigger. Sigh. I just totally blanked on that. So the game continued.

Later, another opponent exiled all our creatures & artifacts so he was well-positioned to win. He took out our other 2 opponents and had 121 life. I feared I had no chance to win, even with Akroma's Will.

But I rebuilt & drew Finale of Devastation. Finale'd for 10, and tutored for Dinosaurs on a Spaceship to give all my dinos vigilance and trample, juuust in case. That plus Akroma's Will meant I did 156 damage on turn 10? 12?

So I'd just like to point out that, once again, the two people who wiped the board did NOT win the game.

@sapphire That Blasphemous Act would've been perfect with Wrathful Raptors. Those are the plays you remember forever, the ones that got away. At least you pulled off the win anyway with that Finale.

@GrimDeck

Yeah, and hopefully my shame at missing the trigger is enough that I'll never make that mistake again. 😂

@sapphire Those are the best lessons. Way better than winning off something you barely remember.
