Add this to the long list of execs fucking up their entire company using GenAI - CEO decides he doesn’t want to pay $250m bonus to staff, asks ChatGPT how to avoid it, his legal team tell him ‘are u fuckin dumb’, he does it anyway, gets sued, and loses in court.

@GossiTheDog I just started replaying Below Zero with the hope this will all get sorted before 2030 or so.
@mikesiegel @GossiTheDog maybe Krafton is actually a subsidiary of Alterra
@GossiTheDog Meanwhile, I just got an insurance appeal denial for some medically-necessary testing that a doctor did (I don't think I even had the chance to decline), and it'll probably cost a few grand out of pocket. I am incandescently fucking angry at the ruling capital class.
@GossiTheDog This is actually a great idea - using GPT like this is genius. All tech CEOs should be doing this. This bro just prompted it wrong, bro.

I see what you did there @flipper 😉

Except when the company folds because of it and regular folks are laid off as collateral to a horrible decision.

Something something powers, something something responsibility - a famous arachnid.

@GossiTheDog

@GossiTheDog Typical Dirtbag CEO makes a deal and then trys to steal it back from the people rather than pay them for their work. This CEO needs to be blamed shamed and defamed for this blatant attempt to steal no other word for it.
@GossiTheDog I love shit like this. Except that the stupid CEO is not going to suffer any negative consequences. When the company collapses, he'll get a new job at a higher salary.

@GossiTheDog I love that he at least lost the lawsuit; it's a shame that the company won't throw him in the trash as he's a dud of a person.

There needs to be real, financially harmful consequences for doing what this Krafton CEO did in order to stop these idiots from continually getting rehired and ruining yet another company!

@WanderingInDigitalWorlds @GossiTheDog that is what the board is for. The board is appointed by the shareholders. So they must be fine with this
@GossiTheDog This is the kind of asshole move by a corporation that Subnautica and Subnautica: Below Zero satirized.
@GossiTheDog AI psychosis.
I cannot comprehend how can people trust anything these auto-complete chatbots spitting out.
I love it when it backfires like this. My other favourite when a threat actor vibe coded their infostealer which infected themselves, exposing their backend.
Music to my ears.
@GossiTheDog Now this is a great story 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

@GossiTheDog I keep saying that a CEO doing dumb shit is 10x more risky than any cybersecurity issue could possibly be

Quickest way to kill a company

@GossiTheDog should have used ChatGPT to write his defence case too

@GossiTheDog

There's an even longer list of CEOs that agreed to compensation packages that they later decide are "too rich."

This usually happens after the people that were incentivized by these very packages absolutely blow out their numbers and make a lot of money for the company, and of course for themselves.

I have lived through this two times in my life. Screw these people - a deal is a deal, and usually everybody won. If everyone didn't win that's the fault of the negotiators.
