Trying to love and almost completely loving Qobuz. Both because of its virtues, pays artists, HD; and because it’s not f’ing Spotify.
New iOS code (phone, Car Play, etc) is nice, but in case anyone else fell foul of a bug where Bluetooth would not play (ffs?!), I eventually deleted and reinstalled and that fixed it.
Days later and I am still unable to get qobuz iOS attached to BT speaker, to play, still have to use the Spotify hack.
Also, occasionally my non mainstream music will sometimes just stop, wait 10s of seconds, then unstutter and restart.
But I still prefer it to Spotify; I just hope a bug is found and fixed. I’ll keep updating and hoping
@alan42 It seems there was a recent (last 6-8 weeks?) major app rework, and the stability has definitely taken a hit.
If I try playing a playlist, and skip a song, I can do that maybe 3 times before the app stops playing. I press play, it starts and maybe 10 secs later, the song restarts.
This definitely didn’t happen in the previous version.
I can’t believe this had any testing or quality checks before shipping. I did a delete/reinstall; no joy.
I’m on iPhone 17 Pro, latest iOS.
@t3rcermillenium yep, they bought in new code, clearly, to do CarPlay etc, but broke some basic stuff.
No native Mac experience that is not awful either, I think roon(?) and another may solve this BUT at another $N / month :/
For a while my BT experience was so useless I kept having to play .5s of Spotify to “wake up” the connection enough for Q to work. Useless. Now at least it is consistently odd but works once you know what to expect. I have a vid of the broken BT ux about to send to them
