@ngate I think this takes the author’s use of the word “fractal” out of context. It was meant as a familiar example of a system that lacks a scale. Models of gravity which exhibit asymptotic safety are more parsimonious than many models of string phenomenology.

Although I don’t work on either, I don’t think this work is trying anyone’s patience.
