@johanpeitz yay! Will there be a Linux build on itch?
@winduptoy Not near term at least I'm afraid. I have no experience with it myself and can't really support it. That said, I've tried it through wine on my Mac so "should work". :)
@johanpeitz @winduptoy I got it to run on Linux (without wine) by extracting the source from the executable and building my own copy of gifcatlib.
@johanpeitz Shared with my 17 y/o who is busy building his first game. :)
@anders Wonderful! Let me know how it goes!

@johanpeitz Fantastic stuff! Instabuy for me.

How did you get the cleaner visuals? Did you swap from pico 8 to something like picotron or some other means?

@Dio9sys Thank you so much! pico8 is long gone, picoCAD 2 is built on top of love2d
@johanpeitz Nice! Congrats on making the switch while keeping the aesthetics so similar
@Dio9sys Thanks! Yeah, that was one of my main goals
@johanpeitz any idea if PicoCAD 2 will run well through Proton on a Linux machine?
@0 Most likely yes. It is running on steam deck and I've tried it myself through wine on mac
@johanpeitz this mouse can confirm that it works well through Proton on its Linux machine
@johanpeitz that's some beautiful work!
@johanpeitz any plans for USD Geom + MTLX output?

@jacksonhayes Other's have mentioned similar formats. What are they used for? 3D printing?

Often there are converters from OBJ and GLTF since they are so widely used.

@johanpeitz I would say that USD is a far more modern & flexible format, and it includes the ability to import to other DCCs in a much more โ€œready to goโ€ manner.
@jacksonhayes I read up a bit on USD and it looks very similar to picoCAD's own internal format. I'll add it to my list!
@johanpeitz itโ€™s a really awesome & admirable effort, an incredibly powerful scene description format / engine as well!
@johanpeitz Do I need to play the first one before I start with this one? :D going to buy it later today!
@LePertti Lol - the extensive story in the first one is concluded and the sequel follows other heroes in the same universe ;)
@johanpeitz still no Linux support
Sadge ;c
@johanpeitz is there a tutorial video up anyplace yet? (or written tutorial?)
@joshg hope to make some tutorials tomorrow.
Manual in the meantime...

@johanpeitz awesome, thanks! (I'm sure it's been a busy week, no panic) :)
