It’s been a while, but for anyone who was waiting for this medium-term nerdy report: I ended up having more success with #MeshCore than #Meshtastic, at least in my area. It seems the former has grown a lot since last year.
@jessicaekomane i hear that same comment from people in areas all over the world.
@zipkid Well firstly : it works, and not only between two devices inside my home. Which could also be due to the fact that there is a repeater in my area (I remember the number of other nodes being close to none about a year ago). And then the #meshcore app is also much better designed and intuitive for someone who’s not technically well-versed in that domain… those have been my observations so far. Looking forward to try #reticulum at some point once they are further in the development also…
@jessicaekomane yes, onto #reticulum here too. So far it works, but i have not grasped how or why yet 😅
@zipkid @jessicaekomane Ratspeak has some new chat software that is worth checking out if you have a T-Deck Plus or Cardputer ADV... https://youtu.be/F6I6fkMPxgI?si=yuFU4I2vpPPUXaSS

@UrbanCityCowboy @zipkid @UrbanCityCowboy @zipkid I saw that, thank you (I don’t have a t-deck for now)! I think I understood Reticulum can be more than lora though, that’s where I’m wondering whether a device with more access (wifi etc.) is needed, and thought that is probably still coming… (https://youtu.be/XTnYVh7K6xQ)

@jessicaekomane @zipkid Correct. You can connect through the internet (TCP/IP) which is good for an extra layer of security. I'm currently working on setting up a local net using packet radio. We are going to see a lot of stuff this year.
