oh my.. in 2017 i joined mastodon.social as an experiment to see what the buzz was all about. it has come a long way since then.

congratulations to all developers and admins/mods who maintain instances with better uptime and keep the place clean and simple. long live FLOSS.

Hitching a smallest of small ride here ;) A mainline _italics_ support would be so great. It’s so scratching seeing all the great herbiology, entomology etc content with Latin names not written as they should be.

@Klassika there is italics support using asterisks, I'm unclear? I don't usually try underscores

*I think* it’s server based, maybe a flag somewhere? I learned the asterisk and underscore in gmail chat I think, the asterisk is as for bold.
