Basically, the posters when the nutter did his stuff were more engaging than Facebook, to be honest. A new "physical" social media maybe.

Oh, and a locked clip frame so no midnight raids.

One observation only:
"Fediverse" without the definite article potentially sounds a bit corporate.
"The Fediverse" feels more generic, natural and accurate.
Also, does your ASR-33 by any chance have a working PTAPE reader?

And yes it does, and punch, and I even have paper tape (technically it is thermal paper rolls for air traffic control paper slips, but 1” paper is 1” paper).
