Farron brings up a good point. Elon Musk brought in all these guys from his companies. 20 something’s writing software who can’t think their way out of a box. These are the guys that are writing code for his AI company or doing shit at SpaceX or Tesla.

I actually think the SpaceX guys have to be reasonably together because of the nature of the technology, but these are the so-called über mench

Just as a hypothetical, suppose you were a cult leader, or had aspirations of becoming a ruthless dictator. Would you have more success if you restricted your people to childhood as long as possible? They wouldn't learn things like independence and maturity, because they wouldn't be allowed to. Their inherent urge to grow up would drive them mad, as you gaslighted them saying they cannot make their own decisions, and only an authority can make their decisions for them. If you drag their childhoods out for so long that they get no chance to become established as an adult, they'll be more desperate and willing to join whatever misbegotten army you've scrapped together, simply because they weren't allowed to know anything else.

And assuming it was to your advantage to do this, would you perhaps fund a bunch of bunk science making meaningless value judgements, and pointing at brain scans as evidence that people should not have equal rights, equal representation, and the right to self-determination?

The research you're linking to is modern phrenology, I'm afraid.

Its not a glove I am picking up.
I know from personal experience my brain didnt wire up proper until about 28yo. But I may be slow.

#Neuroscience is an actual science and uses scientifc method. Is it open to abuse? Sure. We can monitor changes in brain with aparatuses though.
The beauty of peer review is though, if you publish bullshit, someone will likely identify as bullshit, and the folks who reviewed your article for publishing wont look good either.

Human brain is super malleable.
We now have computational propaganda at scale and the result is 30% muppets voting against their interests for the #broligarchs

"we" could fu<k with folks brains for a while with newspapers, songs and ideas. Now we can do it so much better.

Anyway, its a fascinating subject, but I got work to do.

I don't know how to measure when your brain wiring is "proper." They can measure brain changes, but they can't say those should correspond to any actual rights and freedoms.

Good luck with your work. I'm pretty much spinning my wheels atm.
