Once in a while, I look at #mesh #networks, with the objective to discover and play with #radio / #lora tech, wanting to learn about independent and resilient networking.
And each time, I found some essential choice to do which makes me postpone the hardware acquisition.
This time is about the network: #meshtastic #meshcore and #reticulum are the ones and I really feel the latter is the more interesting (I know they can't be directly compared)

I'm Getting Into Mesh Networks... (Meshtastic, MeshCore, and Reticulum)
I love networking, a lot. So much so that I've run my own ISP since 2024, complete with its own ASN, IPv4/6 address space, fiber optics, etc. However, do this and you quickly realize how reliant you still remain on central service providers. The internet is a mesh, but
