In one month, Pete Hegseth's military spent $93.4 billion dollars.

"Military" purchases include:

$98,329 for one grand piano
$26,000 for one violin
$2,000,000 for Alaskan king Crab

I like governments that spend that kind of money on healthcare.

@randahl they did not use the money to replenish the stocks of weapons and ammo nor to pay for the veteran crisis lines cancelled by DOGE. It is almost as bad as if the President would build a ballroom in the white house.
@randahl yeah, they say seafood is good for your health... 😜
@randahl It’s all as expected. Let no one claim they weren’t warned in good time. US voters shouldn’t pretend they have nothing to do with it.

@randahl
Ehhh America spends almost 90% more* per capita on healthcare than Canada, and yet, Canadians don't get hospital bills.

America has the money. What needs to happen is the removal of health insurance execs from power and the eradication of lawful forms of corruption.

If United Healthcare and Friends can go around dumping millions corrupting officials, of course they will have it their way. If they can profit off suffering, of course they will.

*$15,113 v $8,119 (CIHI NHEX 2024)

@randahl Conservatism runs on loyalty. And when in power, that transforms instantly to corruption, because loyalty must be rewarded.
@randahl
Ya I mean human trafficking isn't cheap these days huh?
@randahl wait did pete actually buy the worlds smallest violin?
@randahl - What a Trash spender. Spends on himself from out Tax Dollars instead of helping Our communities.

@randahl

Not Kegsbreath wasting 2 mil on Tamatoa

@randahl
Hang on, what exactly was the 2 million for? To buy crabs; for the crabs; to buy ......erm no, I'm stuck now.
What did he buy?

@randahl

Its nice of governments to so publicly make lists of "Reasons to Keep My Party Out of Office"

Hesgeth is an ad for defeating Republicans until we forget the word.

@randahl More violins and pianos instead of bombs please!!! 🎼🎵🎶
@NatureMC I like your thinking :-) @randahl
@randahl Luigi for president
@randahl I guess he wanted to buy war drums, but didn't know what to look for.

@randahl

Hegarty to millennials:

"I'll see your avocado toast and raise you $2,000,000 for Alaskan king Crab – from the public purse.
Bwaahaahaa!"

@randahl This is the spending of people who firmly believe that they are the same as Royalty [No Kings !!!]

@randahl

Shouldn' t be the newspeak "Department of War"?
