@anon_opin at this point so many people us Venn diagram to mean Euler diagram that it's in general English Venn diagram is used for both. If I was talking someone and I didn't know they understood what they both were i'd say Venn diagram because they are more likely to understand that from pop culture. Language in general and English specifically is very fluid to to changes in meaning. As well as fairly trivial stuff this also gets used more targetedly for properganda a lot.
