@PurpleJillybeans Oh wow I didn't know they made RealPlayer for Windows 3.1, thought it didn't come out until the Windows 95 era. I'm honestly impressed that OS is capable of handling streaming video at all.
@smallsco Yep! I think 5.0 was the last one to get a 16-bit release. This is running on a 200MHz P1 Classic with 64 megs of RAM. Perfect playback with no stutters!

@PurpleJillybeans @smallsco While it wasn't streaming I still remember the very first video clip I saw playing on a PC.

It was a postage stamp size clip of Wrath of Khan with Shatner going "Khaaaaannnnn!"

This was 1995, I think it was, and my friend and I were just absolutely blown away by this little seven second clip of the movie.

@PurpleJillybeans . . . and it took like 15 minutes to download over the 33.6k dialup modem . . .
