@daringfireball “Phone guys are not going to just figure this out. They’re not going to just walk in.”
@csilverman Oh that’s brilliant.

@daringfireball The Lenova Yoga4 sells to schools at $497. Schools buy them because:
1) drop-tested at the height of a middle school desk, and
2) touch screen works with a #2 Ticonderoga, so math workflow, yeah?

Of course neither are true. The rubberized bezel means kids can field strip it without tools. And it takes about a week for a pencil to start scratching the touch screen. (Safety feature: no one actually writes on scratch paper and tablet at the same time, so no harm, no foul.)

Palm CEO Ed Colligan’s Head Seems to be Stuck Somewhere

What I like best is where he says Palm has “struggled for a few years here figuring out how to make a decent phone.” Isn’t it possible that, *if* Apple is indeed entering the mobile phone market, that Apple has also struggled for a few years? It’s just that Apple hasn’t been selling their less-than-decent designs along the way, like Palm has.

@daringfireball Even if the PC makers know exactly what they're up against, the last thing they're going to do is say publicly, "Our products aren't as good." So what did you expect?
@daringfireball I tired one. The Neo is a Mac-assed Mac.
