@EdwinG did they ever figure out how mermaids reproduce? Wonder if it is time to give mermaids rights. They are under constant threat of capture by industrial fishing operations. Perhaps this is why they are so rarely seen. There was a documentary made once about a mermaid who made contact with humans. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0088161/
