Saturday has finally fought its way past the rest of the week & is sitting in the garden all bright & full of the joys of Spring!

I’ve woken up rather dopey (Stop it!) & am hoping that coffee revives me in due course!

Mrs S is off shopping in a bit so peace will reign for a couple of hours.

I’m reading ‘South’ by Earnest Shackleton & they have just had a … “precipitation of ice-spicules, exactly like little hairs, about a third of an inch long.”

So count yourself lucky you’re only getting wet snow! 😁

I hope that it melts quickly, or that it turns to rain & means you don’t have to dig your way to the road again!

Not to make you jealous but we have sunny weather forecast for the day, although it’s not going to be terribly warm - maxing out at 8ºC.

hey, except for getting a bit too wet, I like the rain. I was out last week when it first started after the snow. I had a rain jacket and double hat over my headphones, but evenually the heavy drip off my jacket soaked my pants and filled my boots. If it is already hard rainng, I'll put the rainpants on too, it's comfortable moving gravel and heavier work, or digging tree holes.. if the ground is soft enough

@Rasta Hate rain, hate cold rain more!

I was born in the wrong latitude, I’d have been better in the Tropics!

I must admit I have never unsre stood why folk from nice warm climates come to the UK, it really cannot be ofr the weather!

@MAJ1 people in the tropics are still wearing their wool hats. It drops to 60 in Bermuda in the winter. I've seen space heaters

@Rasta That’s still 15ºC, that’s not cold! Folks in the UK are out in shorts & t-shirts in 15 degrees! (Not me you understand, but I’m a huge wuss when it comes to the cold! )

@MAJ1 Same around here, and when we go to Bermuda, you can spot the tourists because they are wearing shorts and tshirts in the winter
