A kind reminder, also to myself... When #HomeAssistant is asking you to clear front end cache, what they actually mean is that you must clear your BROWSER cache. Baffles me every time.
@ssamulczyk out of curiosity, what do you initially think it means? Always curious about how technical jargon gets misinterpreted.

@jaylyerly My first understanding was that’s something in HA UI/Settings and I immediately started to look for it on the web.

Led me to a Reddit thread about it…🫣

@ssamulczyk Oh, I see. That makes sense. Always interesting to see how people interpret things when they aren't steeped in the jargon. I once told a lady that I led a team of mobile developers and she said “So... you have a like a van and drive developers around?”

@jaylyerly Well… I’ve been working in IT for over 13 years and I haven’t heard anyone calling the browser a front end… Technically, front end is in that case displayed in the browser, therefor it is cached there and that makes sense, but the wording should IMVHO be chosen more carefully.

Anyways, I’m infra, so what do I know. In our world developers are pure evil and not IT…🫣😂
