If you're in England, your #NHS medical data is due to be shared with #PeterThiel's military surveillance firm #Palantir.

Fyi, Palantir have already been using their access to US medical records to target people for #ICE, and #ReformUK have published their plans for ICE UK...

In case you — like me — object to this in the strongest of terms, the @goodlawproject have put together this handy tool to check your local NHS Trust's position, and to say no to this.

Say no to Palantir in the NHS

NHS England is rolling out software to run our health records from Palantir - fight back

No to Palantir
@DarkOptimism @goodlawproject Should point out that the Scottish government rejected Palantir for the Scottish NHS.
@DarkOptimism @goodlawproject I think this applies to England not the UK.

@AngleseyStick @DarkOptimism @goodlawproject yes, I'm pretty sure this is NHS England only.

It's still absolutely crazy though. And it's possible that it might include some data on Welsh patients who have been treated in England because of cross-border arrangements.

All supposedly anonymised, but put together a few medical conditions plus AI, join to one or two other databases (such as data harvested from social media) and deanonymising becomes fairly easy.

@DarkOptimism @goodlawproject
And not forgetting this from their CEO...

"Palantir CEO Alex Karp thinks his AI technology will lessen the power of “highly educated, often female voters, who vote mostly Democrat” while increasing the power of working-class men."

Palantir CEO Makes Shocking Confession on Disrupting Democratic Power

They’re saying the quiet part out loud now.

The New Republic

@DaRC_Fantom

And their co-founder Peter Thiel's comments that with regard to the NHS we need to “rip the whole thing from the ground and start over”, and introduce more “market mechanisms”...

@DarkOptimism Please stop confusing England with "the UK". Scotland has its own national healthcare system, and Scotland has said NO to Palantir.

@goodlawproject

@LillyHerself @goodlawproject

Ooh, good to know, thanks!

I don't confuse England and the UK, but didn't know that.

All power to the ever more reasonable Scotland, and I'll now update the original post 🙏🏼
