Some of you asked how to make a buttonhole. Here’s one in garter stitch. Stay tuned for how I make buttonholes in linen stitch.
✨👉 Make 3 backward loops, slip next 2 sts knitwise one by one, pass first slipped stitch over the second, slip stitch back to left hand needle, k2tog. You have now bound off 2 sts but cast on 3 sts. On next row, when you come to the buttonhole, k 2 backward loops, then k2tog, i.e. knit the last backward loop together with the following st 🧶 🧶 🧶
