Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that could defile the body and the spirit, and thus accomplish holiness out of reverence for God (2 Corinthians 7:1).

#Paul encouraged the Corinthian #Christians to cleanse themselves from anything that might defile them so they might work toward #holiness before God. 

Paul also had taught how we have all #sinned and cannot earn our #salvation and how we are reckoned as holy and righteous because of #Jesus' redemptive #sacrifice.
