Fine in a factory or lab which can supply the kW to achieve that but most current public charger stations/networks have nowhere near the capability.

It is already the case that when another vehicle plugs in next to you, the power being delivered to your car will drop.

@gwentlarry @arstechnica You’re absolutely correct about practical power limits, but being able to charge at 150 or 350 kW (common rates in the US) from 0-80% would still yield a significant improvement in charging time. Most EVs charge rate is declining rapidly past 50% soc.
