I just did an #ipv6 survey. Mastodon.social - passed. x.com - failed. bsky.app - failed.
@wtfrank What did you survey? As far as I know, mastodon.social is IPv4 only.

@rickvanrooijen I'm posting via ipv6 to mastodon.social right now! It has A and AAAA DNS records - maybe something they added recently if it didn't work.

The sites I surveyed were just the first 13 websites I thought of. So my survey was quite biased!

@wtfrank That's one part of the equation. You're on mastodon.social yourself, right? I would be happy but surprised if you could find someone on an IPv6-only instance like ipv6.camp. For some background information, see https://mastodon.social/@rickvanrooijen/116013230833226667.
@wtfrank As I understand, mastodon.social does support incoming IPv6, but not outgoing. This means that you can visit mastodon.social and post messages from your browser via IPv6. However, it cannot reach IPv6 only servers (such as ipv6.camp) via IPv6.
@rickvanrooijen ah ok - yes I am only testing my ability to reach the web interface via ipv6. I haven't tested mastodon.social's fediverse protocols.
Interestingly I could search for my profile on ipv6.camp, but couldn't search on mastodon.social for a profile on ipv6.camp - which I think is exactly the problem you're talking about!
