Moderne internetstandaarden maken het internet voor iedereen toegankelijker, veiliger en betrouwbaarder. Toch zijn het gebruik en de juiste implementatie ervan niet vanzelfsprekend.

Leveranciers zeggen soms: "Onze klanten vragen er niet om." Gebruikers weten vaak niet hoe kwetsbaar hun website en systemen zijn zonder deze standaarden.

Hi @EUCommission, great to see that many of the mentioned Mastodon EU accounts have now been added to the social media search tool of the EU (https://european-union.europa.eu/contact-eu/social-media-channels_en). Well done! 🙏 🎉👏

Few remarks:
1. DIGIT / Digital Services (@EC_DIGIT) shows up twice when filtering on "Mastodon". One of the entries links to their X account and not to their Mastodon account.
2. The Mastodon account of the EU Research Executive Agency (@REA) is missing. Note that their X account has an entry.
3. Maybe you could make clear that one of the Curia Mastodon accounts is French (@Curia_fr) and the other one is English (@Curia).
4. @EC_OSPO and @cert_eu are still missing.

Hey Windows (ab)users! Microsoft patched around 200 vulnerabilities in Windows etc today, a record Patch Tuesday batch. All indications are they fixed two of the zero-days dropped last month by the researcher Nightmare Eclipse, including "Green Plasma" and the "YellowKey" exploit that allowed local access to data encrypted by BitLocker. In response to today's Patch Tuesday, Nightmare Eclipse dropped an exploit for what they claimed was a zero-day bug in Windows Defender.

Nearly three dozen of the bugs patched this month earned Microsoft’s most dire “critical” rating, and exploit code for at least three of the weaknesses is now publicly available.
