The increasingly shitified captcha / sms code / email code / proprietary app "security" measures, just to log into every stupid service - so many extra steps is so draining on my limited executive function resources, and the context switching to my phone or email inbox is a distraction filled obstacle course.
It always triggers rage, especially Captchas - making me train AIs just to pay an invoice is INFURIATING.
@mattb Its not going to help with captchas, but I've been using 1Password for a few years, and having a TOTP generator integrated into my password safe has been a game changer.
I just wish more sites would let me use it instead of hiding the same bloody thing behind easily spoofable SMS messages 🙄.

Yeah, man, if they all respected TOTP, I would be happy! I use Bitwarden, which has the same feature - so good!
But I suspect it's more about harvesting personal data (the mobile no. especially)
