How time works, according to hospitals:
"Soon": either 4 hours away, or the very second you try and sneak off to do something else.
"Before lunch": Not before 3pm, hopefully on the same day.
"Not long now": it's never happening

Maybe it's just me, but I can't imagine wanting to see it for anything other than nostalgia.
Anyone old enough to be nostalgic for the franchise is *at least* 45, so they're not gonna drag themselves out of their comfy house to see it at a cinema. At *best* they'll wait til it's on a streaming service.
Anyone younger than that will have zero emotional connection to the franchise, so they're they're not gonna see it either.

@Although trained in physics, I worked in the computing industry with pride and purpose for over 40 years. And now I can do nothing but sit back and watch it destroy itself for no valid reason beyond hubris (if I'm being charitable).
Ineffable sadness watching something I once loved deliberately lose its soul.
