@drahardja maybe the goal is not iran, but the countries neighboring israel, which has already annexed more of the golan heights and has the perfect excuse for a remake of 1982 and reoccupy southern Lebanon under the guise of self defense. Meanwhile, the west Bank is being also ethnically cleansed, while all eyes are on iran. The Trump dynasty is going to get richer via arms deals and real estate development in occupied territories. I don't see why else they're doing this.

@drahardja It was obvious regime change in Iran was not a goal of US-Israel. Trump now confirms this. You can't do regime change from the air (never been done in history), and the only ground troops US wanted to send in were 10,000 Kurds, which is a force the size of 1 Division into a country the size of all Western Europe combined with a geography of the Swiss Alps, that's about as unrealistic as it gets.

Now, Trump finds out there's no off ramp, war is as good as lost already.

@drahardja The US doesn't really have a plan, but Israel does. Israel wants to fracture Iran to small militias stuck in an endless civil war. That's why they bomb indiscriminately, to cause chaos and division. But even if they don't succeed, they can use this war as cover to steal more land in Lebanon and Palestine as they are doing right now. Even if the US fails completely, just admit defeat and retreat in a few weeks, Israel still wins.
