Maybe things are better by the 24th century, but in 2026, I think it would be more accurate to say that computers _rarely_ do what we want, or even what we ask for. Most commercial software in 2026 is hot garbage. Vendors develop and market software based on having huge numbers of features, not robustness or reliability.
