Juggling With Eggs

The need to ween ourselves off #FossilFuels just got real for many people with the unlawful US/Israeli attacks on #Iran resulting in the closure of the #StraitsOfHormuz.

These folks just waking up may have been in denial or agnostic to #ClimateChange…but when inflation hits every area of the economy particularly the petrol/gas in your car, then suddenly ‘Houston, we have a problem’.

We need to seize this opportunity. Our Environment Ministers everywhere should make the case for #Renewables.

But perhaps more importantly than Environment Ministers demanding #renewables, we need to see Finance, Business and Energy Ministers/Secretaries making the case.

Energy security has rightly been talked about in earnest since Russia invaded Ukraine…but the best security is getting off oil, gas and coal altogether…not just switching your supplier.
