Wow, perfect idea, Stefan.
This is exactly what I need to invite my friends and family to join me here.
Iâd wanted something like this to use when a website visitor clicks a âFollowâ or âLikeâ button. Even made some sketches, but I like your design better.
Any guidance on using this as a âsignupâ link from my websites?

Yeah, the complexities of the fediverse, as you know very well yourself, create some interesting challenges, but I think it can be fun to approach them creatively. I'm glad people seem to generally like this project!

Our whole ecosystem needs to keep more state information like this through the onboarding process. For example, if I join a server because im trying to âFollowâ someone, the serverâs signup process should remember that, and prompt me to follow them once Iâm in.
@benpate Thank you! Yeah, I am really happy with how much thought went into making what looks like a pretty simple page.
For example, you might notice that the "popular accounts" link carries over the server domain, so that all profiles open directly on there, removing the need to look each of them up, or even having to explain that's how account discovery works.
(Kudos to @stefan for implementing that in his tool!)
