Socks - because I still need to decide what my next large project will be. And for the days ahead something not too complicated will be better anyway.

They are based on this pattern https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/thorsminde, but I had to adapt a bit because I need more sts and I wanted front and back of leg with pattern. I also changed the cuff so the ribbing aligns with the pattern.

And I will use my standard heel.

But the combo of stitches was nice, so I used it.

One down, one more to go.

Colors from the picture above are more accurate. I made an additional modification while I was at it: some ribbing under the arch. I've done that a few times in the last few years and quite liked it but then I forgot about that again. Now let's see if my partner likes that.

Link to pattern is in the post above.

More travel knitting - on our way back home.

The second such shortly before the heel increases start. One day I might learn that knitting while sitting in a hotel bed is not comfortable and I don't have to bring a lot of extra yarn for such trips. One day.

And they are done. With all of 2.9 g of yarn left over ... Which is enough so I didn't feel like I'm playing yarn chicken - so maybe a perfect use of the yarn?

Anyway - the pattern stitch is from a design called "Thorsminde", which is a Danish village we actually passed through with a short stop last summer (I only realized that after finishing the socks).

Yarn is a hand dyed merino sock from Bart & Francis https://www.bart-francis.be/en/merinosock-softysock-75-25/g-118

@FanCityKnits I like the ‘this is the pattern only I changed basically everything’-attitude! :-)

😆

With socks I do that a lot. It's mostly a stitch pattern that I find interesting. Or a concept of a stitch pattern.
