This week on #ThePlaylist we celebrated:

Ya Mama

Yes, YOUR mother. We celebrated her*, and we celebrated** her good. Two hours of songs about *your* mother.
_
*if she is/was great. We will berate her if not. Harshly.
**or berate her

NEXT WEEK ON #ThePlaylist:

Toys and Games

Two hours of fun for all the family. A radio show for ages 0-100, but please beware of small parts.

Fling your suggestions my way using #ThePlaylistSuggestion, and together we'll plumb the depths of the nostalgia that prevents us from accepting that we're all adults now, whether we like it or not.

@DJDarren

- Toy Soldiers by Martika

- Puppet on a String by Sandie Shaw

- Games Without Frontiers by Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush

- Ragdoll or Toys in the Attic by Aerosmith

And my number 1 choice? Ace of Spades by Motörhead. Card game, innit.

Dr Mrs Swisslet suggests Barbie Girl by Aqua and also Poupée de cire, poupée de son by France Gall (written by Gainsbourg for their Eurovision entry. Suitably French)

@swisslet I've played France Gall before, and can't guarantee I won't again, because it's a masterpiece.
@DJDarren we’re getting to the point where repeats are going to be increasingly inevitable, aren’t we? You’re a victim of your own success. If you choose to be, as you make the rules and can play what you want.
@swisslet Oh aye, there's a few tracks I've played twice. I don't really mind, I just try to make sure I haven't played it for a good few months. Likewise, I try not to repeat an artiat from one week to the next. Unless it's in service of something I find funny, then all bets are off.
@DJDarren you do a grand job and I appreciate you (and Troggie too!).
