For what it's worth, I have an UPLIFT V2 standing desk similar to the link below, which is the newer V3. I like it, and it hasn't given me a problem in a few years and a lot of dog hair. It supports my big monitors and heavy arms without so much as a stutter.
I also got an Upsy Desky so I can control it remotely, but I wouldn't say that is necessary.
@lizkecso I've had a standing desk for 15 years and I rarely stand at it, but I'd recommend one to anyone because the best thing about a standing desk isn't that it allows you to stand. It's that it allows you to fine tune the height of your desk so that it's perfect for whatever you're doing.
If you're looking to spend as little as possible or want something with a bit of modularity, Ikea has a low-end version of a standing desk that can be raised by a hand crank. I bought a child's standing desk at Ikea for my mother-in-law and it's plenty sturdy.
Standing desks don't cost all that much anymore. There are a ton of them out there. I'd expect not that much differentiate them from each other anymore. The one thing you should be aware of before getting one is that how heavy and difficult it is to move one of the standard sized ones.
TROTTEN desk sit/stand, white, 120x70 cm Changing positions from sitting to standing is good for you, and the crank handle allows you to work your arms while adjusting the height. Moving your body makes you both feel and work better. Adjustable feet make the desk stand steady also on uneven floors.
