I have to double check but I think this is the first data from new #galileo satellite E32. Galileo is the EU equivalent of GPS. Something that seemed silly 20 years ago. And now Europe has its own autonomous navigation system!

I just wished you could buy a (relatively) cheap time server to make use of it.

Yes, GPS, my point is that Galileo based systems are much less ubiquitous.

@[email protected] @[email protected] By GPS I meant generic GNSS receiver. Like many other things the best recognised is often a defacto generic, like Thermos for vacuum flask or Hoover for vacuum cleaner.

It's pretty much impossible nowadays to get a GNSS chip set that only does OnStar GPS.

By GPS I mean a US and DOD controlled satellite constellation that can be turned off or degraded by the whim of a madman.
