How to Start Using Your Own Mind the Right Way

A Critique of Current Note-Taking Systems, a Brief Overview of the Fundamentals of Learning, and an Introduction to My own System: Classical Notes

The Classical Mind

@liztai #Zettelkasten is also about writing notes in your own words. They have to be atomic, and linked to other notes.

I personally have fleeting notes that I review every Sunday morning. The ones I keep, a thinking process is involved. Something a bit similar ho this article.

Many Obsidian users don't use Zettelkasten at all, and I'm not sure if the article refers to the PARA method when it says second brain.

Thanks for sharing

@hyde prob Para method. Second brain is a term that Tiago Forte seemed to have popularized

@hyde @liztai

I hope this is the article that really helps me to change my ways. I haven't read it yet. Gee, maybe I can start by taking good notes in my own words on this article. Thanks.

@ajlewis2 I don't know if there's a right or wrong way, but I learned from this article that I tend to accept what the article I read says too readily and don't interrogate it enough, so that's something I need to learn myself. @hyde
@liztai Thanks for sharing this! A good find.
@markmcelroy it's really fantastic! I prob need to adapt the notes as I am more if a visual learner (creating mental models like mind maps are essential for me to remember anything πŸ€ͺ).
