@brennan what pisses me off about this in general is had you posted the entire post in full as a Reddit post, it would fine.

@brennan One of many reasons Reddit is structurally broken. I cannot use that site, but I have an account. Every incentive is broken, it is meant to be democratic but it has no defenses for abusive mods, and no mechanism to make exceptions, so it falls back to "hard and fast rules." I know some Reddits do have good reputation. Here's hoping the Calgary channel improves and sorts out how to allow citizen journalism.
