One of my favourite abandoned Italian villas, I have been lucky enough to explore this several times of the years.

The interior remains breathtaking despite its decades of standing derelict. Each room is unique, and beautifully ornate. What a grand residence this must have been in its prime!

@ObsidianUrbex The interiors really witness a great investment in the making.
You know what happens here in Italy, with such precious estates? They end being "supervised" by the national historic preservation. If you are the owner they mostly forbid you to touch anything, to avoid changing anything of its historic value. This ends in a paradox where you can't even clear it from the rubbles, without an ad hoc commission studying for years what will be the impact. That costs 100s k€

@ObsidianUrbex The result is that owners leave them as you see it, because the intervention on such a manor would cost millions €, over decades in papers for permissions, or even worse in fines if you speed up works. No one would see it restored in the span of a lifetime.
The only hope is that it's sold to a state agency. They will take the same decades, or more, the expenses will be doubled (to pay for bribeing politicians, criminals, etc.). Someone in the future generations, maybe, will see.
