I've been getting a little further in #noita.

The main insight is that I shouldn't be in a hurry.

Sure, the sanctuaries refill your health and get you new spells, new wands and new perks, but you won't make full use of them if you don't have any gold. So it's profitable to be slow and methodical in your descent.

I also found a temple, avoided an optional boss and found a racetrack of some kind. I did a few laps, but I'm not sure whether there's any reward there.
