@flexghost I have played enough Noita to know that this is toxic sludge. Make sure you have clean water to wash off.

I'm still having fun in #Noita, my most recent run was a banger. Got extremely lucky and found two .10 .07 wands as well as a triple shotgun wand in the first level. Moving a few things around and getting a few more spells and I end up with two 'fuck you' wands.

One I kept thinking of as the Problem Solver was a mix of shotgun, bouncing bolt, and chainsaw that fired all of them every frame the game runs. Works equally well on enemies and walls, melting through both with ease.

The other was the Ridiculously Dangerous Wand, which was a trigger that fired a shotgun burst where every individual projectile released both an electric explosion as well as a burst of smaller explosions over a small area. If I stood too close, I would get both stunned and damaged by the explosions. By that I mean if I wasn't almost a full screen away it would seriously hurt.

Despite these advantages, a decent amount of health and some good perks, I died when I got overconfident in the jungle and decided to explore the Lukki Lair. I learned only after I died that the Lukkis (giant toothy spiders) are immune to both projectiles and explosions.

C'est la vie!

How is it I have over 800 hours in Noita and I'm still encountering random events I've never seen before? (In this case, the "You have trouble focusing your eyes" event, which makes enemies in the current area invisible). First time I've seen it. Did they really implement something with a 1-in-800 hours chance of occurring? #noita

@threeforks
Awesome! Will try to think of others

Oh!!! One is called #Noita it's a 2D platformer where every pixel is a real "particle" that you can interact with. You play as a witch and there's a deep spell-crafting system.

Noita is brutal and unforgiving, but go into it like a sandbox and there are entire mountains of knowledge and mystery to find.

Been running through Noita lately. All that practice from games like Abuse is finally coming in handy! I think I'm just having bad luck finding decent wands, or more likely I get greedy fighting enemies trying to get more gold. Definitely not being cautious enough, but it's just too fun to try for one more before moving on.

Any advice for a relatively new player?

Streaming #TheSpellBrigade for the first time! As a huge #Noita enjoyer, I've had several folks recommend this to me, and it just hit its 1.0 release milestone today. Excited to give this one a spin! Major thanks to Pirate PR for the review key :D

i am a simple noita

i need to deal more damage

normal games: find a stronger weapon, level up, or use a potion

noita: throw up on a skeleton

Yet again, so close, yet so far. This time the problem was that some of the spider enemies in the jungle spawned a bit too close to the Holy Mountain and breached it, angering the gods. I did kill Stevari, but eventually had to face Skoude in the very last Holy Mountain. I did it, but it left me with just 80 health to deal with Three Eye. And all it took was a panic teleport to a lava flow for an instant kill.

To add insult to injury, I did have a lava-to-blood spell in inventory..

Drat. So close and so far.

I reached old Three Eye for the first time in #noita, but I vastly overestimated my firepower and underestimated one of my perks: Bouncy Spells.

The problem with bouncy spells became apparent when I tried to flee. The bounciness also applied to the teleport spell, so I could never be sure _where_ I teleported. The final nail in the proverbial coffin was that my black hold digging spell also attracted the boss' holy bolts. All of them. So my death was instant.
