We've gone walking in the east Lancs hills but I think we took a wrong turn and went through a portal to Middle Earth.
Found the portal!

Now tell me where it is and put me out of my misery. It looks very familiar but I can't place it.

@TheLancashireman That is Lund's Tower, on a limestone ridge just outside a village called Cowling.

If you've ever driven along the A6068 Colne to Keighley road you can't have missed it, maybe that's where you've seen it?

And it appears I was mistaken as we were actually about a mile or two over the North Yorks border, so not actually in east Lancs at all.

I knew I recognised it from somewhere. . We spent a week's holiday in Laycock some years ago (pre-covid)

@losttourist and then you saw the turret...
@losttourist a rocket ship made of bricks seems to have crash landed up there, if you’ll notice
@losttourist That's Lancashire for you. Let down your guard just once and it's Uruk-hai on the hills and trolls in the dales, and you're wondering if meat's back on the menu.

@count_01 @losttourist They don't have those kind of problems in Yorkshire.
