Friend of mine is a self-published author, so I buy their books to support them. First one was in dire need of an editor so I haven't read the rest, I just stick them in the street library straight away.

@baiteh @fesshole fessor probably isn't a professional editor, and it's a honed skill well worth paying for. At least they're financially supportive, which might one day pay for an editor

@Rubelicious @baiteh @fesshole It's never easy giving said criticism to a friend. Or, rather, it's never easy for them to receive it. If they thought they needed it, they'd have asked before publishing. If you offer, they'll say no, or ignore any advice, and it'll just be awkward from that moment on. I speak from experience, here. 😂
